Rheumatoid arthritis

A Resilient Life: Learning to thrive, not just survive with rheumatoid arthritis

Too often, people faced with a disease such as rheumatoid arthritis hear words like, "disabling," "progressive," or "tragic." "Tragic" may be what people are saying but the real tragedy is that these often repeated words do nothing but harm to those who hear them. They completely ignore a very real truth: physical issues can absolutely lead to positive transformation, action, challenge, inner strength, deep courage, and compassion. This unique book is written by someone who knows her subject well. Kat Elton, an occupational therapist and woman who's had rheumatoid arthritis since age two, knows that people with RA don't need false hope or to be told what to do. What they do need is to be led toward believing in themselves and improving their reality no matter what it is. Part practical guide, part workbook, part memoir, this book demonstrates that although there is no magic bullet or cure for rheumatoid arthritis, there is a way to live well with this disease.

Doctor in the House: A Physician-Turned-Congressman Offers His Prescription for Scrapping Obamacare -- and Saving America's Medical System

In 2010, the United States House of Representatives passed ObamaCare into law - an overt step away from liberty toward socialism. And while the powers at be claimed a sweeping victory bolstered by national pride, many saw what the legislation truly promised. In Doctor in the House, Congressman Michael Burgess applies his three decades of experience working inside our nation's health care system to the diagnosis of our true ailments. In doing so, he offers a clear, common sense prescription for making our system more excellent, more efficient, and less expensive--for all Americans. A third generation physician, Burgess writes with obvious passion for the healing arts and powerful convictions about the limits of government intervention in the doctor-patient relationship. Doctor in the House brings clarity and common sense to the perplexing national debate over the new health care bill.

About the Author
After spending nearly three decades practicing medicine in North Texas, Congressman Michael C. Burgess, M.D., was first elected to Congress in 2002, and re-elected four times, most recently in 2010. During his time on Capitol Hill he has earned a reputation as a problem-solver who seeks sensible solutions to the challenges Americans face.

Vitamin D supplements

Vitamin D is a vitamin. It can be found in small amounts in a few foods, including fatty fish such as herring, mackerel, sardines and tuna. To make vitamin D more available, it is added to dairy products, juices, and cereals that are then said to be “fortified with vitamin D.” But most vitamin D – 80% to 90% of what the body gets – is obtained through exposure to sunlight. Vitamin D can also be made in the laboratory as medicine.

Health Care Reform: What It Is, Why It's Necessary, How It Works

You won’t have to worry about going broke if you get sick.
We will start to bring the costs of health care under control.
And we will do all this while reducing the federal deficit.

That is the promise of the Affordable Care Act. But from the moment President Obama signed the bill into law in 2010, a steady and mounting avalanche of misinformation about the ACA has left a growing majority of Americans confused about what it is, why it’s necessary, and how it works. If you’re one of them, buy this book. From how to tame the twin threats of rising costs and the increasing number of uninsured to why an insurance mandate is good for your health, Health Care Reform dispels false fears by arming you with facts.

Chinese Secrets To Sarcoidosis Healing

"Finally An Answer to Why There's no Sarcoidosis in China"

"For a long time it's a known fact that almost nobody gets heart disease in China. After years of research, scientists found their answers to why this happens in Omega 3.

It is also a known fact that almost nobody gets sarcoidosis in China. This book finally discloses what are the healing agents that can do the same for sarcoidosis that Omega 3 is doing for heart disease."

"If there wasn't for you I believe that I would still be suffering."
From my age of 29 I was just a patient and it seemed that that's all I do. I was just thinking about doctor's appointments, making phone calls, immunologists, nephrologists for my kidney, pulmonologists for my lungs, dermatologists for my facial rash. And I was still sick. Nothing helped. I felt like all hope was gone.
When I started your program I was very skeptical but I sticked to it and I swear that I could see results within days. I would just wake up to see that some of the spots on my face are gone. I was getting increasingly better every day. It was a very exciting time..."

Review book
Text is clear and easy to understand, it is practical on how to complete and submit accurate claim forms for major insurance companies. The case studies are realistic and beneficial in helping students extract information from a patients chart to a claim form. Both paper and electronic claims are emphasized.
I would recommend this text to any instructor or School Administrator looking for new text on Health Insurance and Billing. This text far supercedes the current text I am using. It is in-depth, full of exercises and examples, and really explains the topics at hand. Health Insurance and Billing can sometimes be boring for students but this text really keeps things interesting and would keep the students busy.
This text combines all concepts of Health Insurance into one, user-friendly text. It has excellent pedagogical elements presented to keep the students attention and help make information easily understandable. This text will make the transition from classroom to medical office easy for students. There is an outstanding supplement package available for instructors.
